I’m Connor and I’m an undergraduate finalist at the University of Cambridge, where I study Human, Social and Political Sciences (well, basically Politics and International Relations). For the last two and a half years I’ve called Cambridge home, but I’m originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Fredericton has a population of 50,000 and is approximately 12 hours (by car) from Toronto. 8 from Montreal.
As part of the Student Travel Award, I’ll be travelling across the Nordic and Low Countries, from Edinburgh to Oslo to Brussels. I’m hugely excited to see all that this part of Europe has to offer, especially for a very provincial Canadian like myself.
I also studied for my final two high school years at Pearson College, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. To put the size of Canada in perspective. I am now closer to my family in New Brunswick in Cambridge than I was in Victoria. It boggles the mind! Anyway, Pearson was international, so I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with friends as I travel through Europe.
I’ll be posting pictures of the sights and spirit of every where I go, so stay tuned on this blog for some stunning (hopefully) European pictures. I’ll also be interviewing Cambridge alumni along the way, so hopefully you’ll come across interesting people doing incredible things across Europe.
